Dancing at Express
Our mission is to create a positive, safe, and empowering learning environment for young dancers alike. Focusing on strict, technical, curriculum from the ages of 3-18; we provide firm, constructive, and developmentally appropriate correction and feedback in order for your child to excel, grow, and develop into a strong dancer, athlete, teammate, and human.
We believe classes work best when expectations are clear on all sides, and our goal is to create an atmosphere of open communication with families. Our strict standards and policies are designed to ensure all dancers reach their highest potential.

Pre-Prima's
COST | $77 per month
| Age range : 3-6/7 | Duration : 45 minutes | Genres : Ballet & Tap
Class focus : Gentle but firm instruction, correction, and attention to dancers following directions in a class setting while remaining respectful and kind to the studio space, dance peers, and instructors. Technically, an intro to dance and finding the joy of movement, balance and coordination, and an intro to the fundamentals of ballet and tap. Foundational positions of the hands and feet in both genres while working on proper body alignment and the appropriate facial expressions for each genre additionally, aid within our “Pre-Prima” class approach.
Requirements : Dancers MUST be 3 years old & potty trained (by September 1st )

pre-level 1 and Level 1
COST | Pre-Level 1 & Level 1 Classes | $98 per month
| Age range : 6/7-8 | Duration : 60 minutes | Genres : Ballet & Tap (+ Jazz for Level-1)
Class focus: Repetition of (and building onto) ballet and tap terminology, skills, and curriculum in addition to “beginner jazz” (if the class is ready). This class will gradually learn the basic make-up of simple turns and leaps with age-appropriate strengthening, flexibility, and conditioning progressions in order to safely and effectively train each participant. In addition, the “gentle but firm” coaching and teaching-style approach is applicable to ALL Express Dance classes and levels.

Level 2
COST | $98 per month
| Age range : 8-11 | Duration : 60 minutes | Genres : Ballet (Lyrical Intro), Tap, Jazz
Class focus: Repetition of (and building onto) ballet, tap, and jazz technique and terminology, as well as a beginner’s intro to lyrical, contemporary, jazz funk, and hip-hop styles of dancing (if the class is ready). In addition to safely strengthening and conditioning their bodies in flexibility, strength, and dance technique, our dancers begin to learn more advanced leaps, turns, “tricks” and choreography all while being educated on proper body alignment, anatomy (muscle, bone, and joint definitions and locations), and how to safely, properly, and effectively train their bodies.

| Age range : 10-12 & 8-15 | Duration : 60 or 90 minutes
| Genres : Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap, Jazz, intro to Hip-Hop
Class focus: In addition to the repetition and building onto the foundations of the genres already covered in this class; higher expectations of our dancers in this class from myself (Ms. Hannah) are a crucial part of our training style as I plan to push, nurture, and prepare your child for any of the “Express Elite” or “Evolution Elite” classes. Additional expectations are for dancers to harness/achieve leaps and turns while using their technique, strength, and flexibility knowledge, facial expressions, and proper body alignment learned in years prior and continued throughout the year

evolution elite (and elite)
COST | Evolution Elite & Elite Classes $175 per month
*ELITE dancers – required to audition every season
| Age range : 13/14-18 (Ms. Hannah’s discretion) | Duration : 2 Hours
| Genres : Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap, Jazz, & Hip-Hop
Class focus: In addition to repetition and advanced progressions of all ballet (and dance) terminology, technique, and skills; dancers further develop, strengthen, and condition their bodies each class to ensure safe practices both short and long-term in their dance training. Expectations are the highest in these classes as they represent our top “elite” dancers and performers who not only represent the “top tier” of the Express Dance & Fitness studio skills-wise, but also in professionalism, class, maturity, excellent work ethic, positive attitude, and overall respect both in and out of studio.
| Shoes : Either Capezio Pirouette ½ shoe “turners”, OR Bloch split-sole ballet shoes, black leather tap, tan jazz shoe, and either Nike or Adidas tennis shoes for Hip-Hop (determined by Ms. Hannah in August)

ELITE

Cost | $175 per month
| Age Range : 12-18 (Ms. Hannah’s discretion)
The most advanced class offered at 120 minutes long.
Dancers are required to audition every season to hold their place in the Elite class. Required re-auditions ensure that our Elite dancers are continuing to strive for excellence and overall outstanding dance training and technique.
In addition to excellent technique, leadership, positivity, and drive, our Elite dancers are chosen based off of how they represent themselves and our studio’s mission both in and out of a studio setting.
| IMPORTANT TO NOTE |
Dancers do not “move up” classes or levels solely based off of their age.
Though age can be an excellent tool to measure developmentally, not all children develop the same or at the same rate. In order to respect the importance of the child’s uniqueness and overall well-being; the appropriate class placement is as crucial as it is necessary.

Private lessons
*Optional for dancers of any age (approved by Ms. Hannah) wanting to further their dance education. Dancers are given homework they are expected to practice and work on outside of private lesson times AND their regular dance classes.
These may be scheduled (through the required “Setmore” app) with any approved dance teacher (after approval and payment is completed)
- 30-minute lesson = $40
- 45-minute lesson (summer sessions ONLY) = $55
- 60-minute lesson = $70
*Private lesson participants are not guaranteed solos, duets, class placements, etc
